Protection of sensitive equipment in closed rooms

Automatic gas extinguishing systems are mostly used to protect sensitive equipment in closed rooms, such as server- or datarooms. When a gas is injected under high pressure into a room, it replaces the present oxygen and therefore extinguishes the starting fire. Because gas doesn't leave residu, it also doesn't damage any equipment (as water would).

As BOSEC approved installer of fixed gas extinguishing installations, Somati designs and installs automatic extinguishing systems, using inert gases (e.g.: IG-55), chemical gases (such as: NOVEC) or water mist (very fine water spray) as extinguishing agents.
